Alright, the time has come for another contest, and this time around, the prize is….drumroll…….
a $500 in-store credit good for anything in the store!
You can take the $500 and get an iPad, put it towards a new computer, or whatever your little heart desires!
Without further ado, let’s get down to the deets on how you can get your hands on that $500.
how to play
1. Every day we’ll post an item on the blog that you need to find and snap a quick photo of. (We’ll announce when these are posted on both Facebook and Twitter.) The items will all be Thanksgiving-esque and something you should be able to find in your own house or around town while you’re out and about living it up in the holiday season.
2. Once you find the item, just snap a photo and do one of two things:
- Email them to us here
- Or tweet the photo and include #simplymacscavengerhunt in your tweet. Please, please remember to include that hashtag in there.
You can send them to us one at a time or all at once on the deadline day.
3. Each photo you send in counts as ONE entry into the contest.
4. There will be TEN total items we’ll ask you to find between November 15-November 28.
5. While we’ll post a new item every day on the blog, we’ll also keep a running list of all of the items we’ve listed so you have time to get hunting and snapping pics.
6. All photos must be submitted by noon on November 29.
7. The winner will be announced at 3pm on November 30 on the blog.

Yes, there are definitely opportunities to get bonus entries to win the $500.

3. Tweet about it
If you do any or all of these things, just send us the link to each of them by noon on November 29, and we’ll get you your extra entries!
So, when all is said and done, you’ve got a chance to get 13 total entries!

Throughout the contest, we’ll be giving extra little prizes to those that send in the most creative pictures.
There will be some sweet headphones, iPhone cases, iPad cases, and other goodies! So while you’re hunting, get creative!

We’ve got yet another big giveaway planned for December (may or may not be a MacBook…hmmm…) so everyone who participates in this contest automatically gets one entry to December’s contest!
rules
now for the boring stuff.
1. No images off the internet allowed! Your entries have to be pictures that you actually took.
2. We’re going to create a gallery of our favorite images so everyone can bask in your glorious photo-taking talents, so the pictures you send in may or may not be posted for all the world to see!
3. Entries submitted after noon on November 29 will not be accepted.
4. The winner of the iPad must be able to pick it up at one of our retail locations no later than December 4. If not picked up by that date, we will draw again for another winner.

What a great idea can’t wait to start taking pictures – wow! winning something I’d love by doing something I love. Can’t beat that.
What a treat! I remember once entering a writing contest and won first place. To top it off, the prize was $10,000.00. I was shocked because like most, I’d never really one anything before. So why not? I hope that this will encourage others to step outside of themselves and give it a try while having some fun. I love to take pictures with my digital camera and look forward to having fun with this new challenge.

I wish these contests were a bit more organized and/or finalized. Friday, the prize was an iPad, now it’s $500 store credit. The pumpkins were never up on predictable or reliable days or times and I suspect the scavenger hunt to be the same. The first hunt item doesn’t seem to be an easy one.
heh, i saw the first item, and thought, “where the crap am i going to find that?” but i have an idea.
Ken, we opened up the prize from an iPad to a $500 gift certificate so the winner would have a little more flexibility. Of course, that can still be used to buy the same iPad we were going to give away originally, but we figured nobody would complain about a more options.
As for the difficulty, keep in mind that you have until the contest’s end to get all of these pictures, so you really just need to be on the lookout for a cornucopia throughout the month. Considering it’s November, my guess is you won’t have any trouble finding one.
Hey Ken, maybe you should come up with a contest and give away a prize on your own time and money so we can all complain about it.
